Registering Houses on Discord
Once you’ve added the House Cup bot to your server, you may want to register houses. Houses aren’t necessary to use the bot, but are a great way to add some optional friendly competition.
- To register a house you first need to create roles. We use Hogwarts houses as an example, but your houses can be named whatever you’d like! Create roles in your Discord server settings under roles and make sure the Allow anyone to @mention this role setting is enabled within the role you created.
- Once you’ve created your roles, you can now register them as houses in two methods:
- Use the command @housecup register house @house-name to register your house with the bot.
- Navigate to Groups in the house cup dashboard and select the house you’d like to register as a house.
- In group settings enable “Is house.”
- Save your changes.
Note: Once you’ve registered all of your houses, sync your server by clicking the “Sync server” button in the dashboard navigation in order to have these changes quickly recognized in the bot!
